Both shea butters are derived from the same African shea tree, unrefined, typically raw, and has a strong nutty aroma, known for anti-inflammatory and anti aging properties, known to soothe skin and thicken hair, both offer unique benefits and can be used to achieve similar results, the best moisturizing properties and improve their skin, nail, and hair health. Ivory shea is the original shea butter with no additives, the butter can vary in color to cream to light yellow. Yellow shea butter is processed with a highly anti-inflammatory root called borututu(a traditional African medicine made from the bark of the Cochlospermum angolense tree. The bark has been used to treat liver diseases.). The root gives the yellow shea butter it's vibrated coloring and infuse the butter with unique quality of the root.
